Rooms in the Lodge are $99.00 per day for double occupancy (an additional $10.00 per person is charged over two people). This is a beautiful historic old lodge with 1 Room with a private bath and the remaining rooms with shared baths. Wi-Fi is accessible in all rooms.

All guests are offered a continental breakfast that is included with the room.
Dinner is offered in the Carriage House Restaurant and prices range from $12.00 for a Hamburger and Fries to $28.00 for a Prime Rib dinner. I think that you'll find the food exceptional. Valori does an extraordinary job with salmon and will cook your catch for $15.00 (to include potato, dinner salad and bread).
Trapper Den Tavern serves adult beverages and the prices range from $4.25 for domestic beer to $5.50 for a drink. Wine is available.
Fishing License: See "Fishing Dates Page" for listing of license cost. Licenses are available at the lodge.
WHAT TO EXPECT
-You will arrive the day before fishing begins. Upon arriving you will be checked into your room and will, more than likely, go to the restaurant. You will order off of the menu, and you're welcome to order a cocktail.
-Trapper's Den Tavern stays open relatively late and thus it's important that you are aware... we like to get on the water early.
-Each day of fishing will start with breakfast at the Carriage House. Once we are done with breakfast, the fishing begins. Where we fish that day will be dependent on the runs and the type of fish.
-As most people are aware, the sun doesn't really go down in Alaska.
-We will return to the lodge each day for hot showers and wonderful supper and maybe a glass of wine or a cocktail while mingling with the locals. The guides will process the catch.
-It is recommended that you come to Alaska with as little baggage as possible. This will allow more room to take fish home. With the exception of rain gear, we have everything that you will need. It is recommended that you bring a cheap cooler.
-On the final day, you can expect to leave the lodge for Anchorage by 3pm in the afternoon. If you need a room at the lodge for that final day... let us know.
Traditionally, the cheapest flights usually leave Anchorage late at night.

If you would like to be responsible for your own meals and lodging, you are more than welcome to join us for fishing or transportation to your fishing location. All travelers to Alaska are always welcome at the lodge (it's not just for fisherman). The lodge offers lodging, restaurant and a tavern. Go to Gakona Lodge for lodging prices.
